Sudan's Burhan meets EU envoy Annette Weber in Khartoum

Sudan's Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan met European Union Special Representative for the Horn of Africa Annette Weber in Khartoum.
The talks focused on Sudan's political process, future engagement between the government and the European Union, and cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
Weber reaffirmed the EU's interest in maintaining dialogue with Sudanese authorities and supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at advancing a political process in the country.
The meeting came as representatives of the UN, African Union, EU, Arab League and IGAD continued consultations in Khartoum on efforts to end the war and advance an inclusive political track.
