Kenya set to receive $400 million in World Bank aid

Kenya is expected to receive about $400 million in emergency financing from the World Bank to help manage mounting economic and humanitarian pressures.

The funds could be released within six weeks and are expected to support healthcare, agriculture, water resources and broader economic resilience.

Kenya sought the financing through the World Bank's Rapid Response Option amid regional Ebola risks, El Niño-related disruptions and rising energy costs.
