Ethiopia, AIIB discuss major infrastructure investments
Ethiopia's finance minister and the AIIB president discussed expanding cooperation on infrastructure, energy and climate-resilient projects, including a planned airport.
Ethiopia's Finance Minister Ahmed Shide held talks with AIIB President Zou Jiayi on expanding cooperation in infrastructure, energy and climate-resilient development.
The discussions covered potential participation by the bank in major Ethiopian projects, including the planned Bishoftu International Airport.
The two sides also explored concessional financing and cooperation with other development institutions for energy and climate projects as Ethiopia moves ahead with its wider infrastructure programme.
